If anyone is interested in having this done and already has the kit but not the equipment, PM me. I quite enjoyed it... sadly its not for my bike, but this is my first time modding electronics that go on a bike to a component level...
I just hope my wife doesnt flip out when the dash for her gixxah is all ripped apart... lol
Slow process to start

my old RC51 already had this mod when I got it from Degsy. I really liked how it looked compaired to the lame stock green back light. & it's really visable at night! Can't wait for delivery Keith! You could have just stumbled apon a side job!
Thanks again, you will see how awesome it looks Wednesday.

Just wanted to thank Keith for his great work, and helping a fellow member out. & Then to go even further and deliver it to South East bumfuck! THANKS SO MUCH! Mike, nice to meet you and the family last night, it looks pissah. the ride really wasnt too bad, its nice that it only takes an hour to dive across the state lol
as for the mod, i have no problems doing any others, ill have to sit down when i get back from class and source out the stuff...
if you already have the kit PM me, but i am gonna find the LED's for a bunch of different makes and models tonight..
ill keep this thread updated as it goes...

Keith, can you make mine shoot sparks?
Keep me posted I want to get this done, I have been considering sending mine out to have it done, but if you are close I can just bring it to you.
Thanks

not very hard, more time consuming than anything... just the learning curve for doing something new... the next one should take less than half the time.
Not too much, considering there are some online for $60 or so, I can charge parts plus labor and have a one day turn around, but I havent done all the research yet, and unfortunately until i can crack open some other gauge clusters i dont know exactly which LED's are used for which bikes...
I am currently looking into it.
i do have the basic info for the ones for the RC51 so it will be easier to find
ill PM you tomorrow... read below for more info. I probably wont be charging labor for the first runs, but i would appreciate a contribution to a injured riders fund...
Thank you Spence.
I was amazed at the difference it made myself...
Yes of course.... when could you meet up with the spare so i can source the parts?
Yes but as i said before, I am gonna have to crack open a gauge cluster to see exactly what package size component the LED's are
well if you want me to shoot down sometime when you do have it ripped out. that way i can see exactly which type LED's are used.
I can hook you up...
Paul, for you... of course...
I have to ask though, what color do you want the sparks to be?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I want to let you all now that the more gauges i get to take a look at the more LED sizes and colors i can get....
and due to the learning curve it could take more time than expected to get the right parts.
but once the LED's are in it would only be a matter of hours for the final install...
the only thing that i ask is for anyone who is the "first year make model" gauge i crack open you pay for the components which will be short money and make a small donation to the injured riders fund...
Ill find out which charity NESR like best and the money can go there, but once the ball is rolling i will have to charge for labor costs as it then becomes something more than helping you guys out...
btw PM me if you are interested and ill send you my schedule, that way if you are local and want to swing by so i can see what LED's would be needed i can get started....
