I was down there in March, it might not truly have 318 curves, but it definitely has a lot. Either way, it was a blast to ride (AND DIDN'T SEE ONE LEO ON THE ENTIRE ROAD! then again, it was March.)

    Re: T***** rd

Been on both T* and the Dragon.

    You can't compare the two.

T* is a sweet sweeper road that allows you to carry some speed. It is a real blast to just ride up and down all afternoon.

Dragon has major elevation changes and several switchbacks and just about any kind of turn possible in its length. It is a lot more technical and has some serious challenges that don't exist at T*.

Last weekend was a great example on what it has become. An over advertised place where all that think they know how to drive or ride come to see how many times they can cross the yellow line and get away with it.

    One air lift.
    One headon with two cars.
One headon with van and two bikes.
    Three ambulance rides.
Multiple ditch incidents that were undocumented.
And all this was on Saturday!

Police presence is very high and the locals are finally accepting that they are now a necessary part of the experience. Police are very polite and professional this year compared to last year and your bike better be legal via plate location and other inspection items.

Dragon is now a victim of their own popularity. Things will never be the same again ... NEVER! Only time I would ride it is before 9am and even then I would scope it out slowly first.

Protect T* with the best tight lips you can because it is only a matter of time before a fatality or a bad wreck will attract the police attention.

I agree. The point is to not post it pubically because some people just read the boards for routes. It is not like a secrete you have to keep from your friends.

T- road is not that amazing, nice, but not a life changing experience. If everyone knew the name it wouldn't be a big deal, but some folks end up hyping it by playing "I have a secrete."

    Bingo!

Look, any time I have been over there, lots of people on sportbikes are riding through. If you look around a little, and explore like RandyO says, you'll find it.

    Re: T***** rd

how about someone starts a group ride, and I join it, and then ride it with some decent peeps?

I have a few roads north of marlborough, MA that I like to ride over and over again (elevation changes, tight S turns, you name it) but it's partially residential and I only ride it when I know kids are NOT out playing (lunch breaks at work, etc.). You just gotta explore, find a good road, and the respect the living hell out of it so that no one ruins it and cops start camping them out.

Not exactly. If you want to make the trip up to VT, one of us will be happy to show you the way.

I'm just saying that posting up the name and directions on the internet might be a bad idea for the future enjoyment of others.

    Re: T***** rd

I am sure before the season is at a close we will make our way up there.

I agree 150% it shouldn't be posted all over the internet, I have a couple local roads that are unreal. VERY residential but non the less, great roads. to blow those up would mean LEOS would be twice as bad because people would be right on the phones. not to mention the road conditions aren't that great. knowing right where to be in the corner is a must for some of the local roads.

the pointless comment was based more on the fact that if the road is a NESR guarded secret then what good does starting a public thread about a secret road do?

    thats all.

    .
it takes more than curves to make a great road, if its "very residential" it's pretty much disqualified

Sounds like we have our own Area 51.
So...as I'm new to this neck of the woods any secret is safe with me.
Shit, I don't know anyone in this state with a motorcycle. PM please?
I can trade a secret road perhaps?

If ya'll want to hit up some of the Best VT roads we should organize a little weekend gathering. Highsider, Uncle Snake, Markbtv, myself, and a few others here know T**** Rd and some other very nice local spots that are IMO some of the best roads around...traffic and police presence is minimal and we know the roads. Ride and BBQ anyone?

Course, us Vermonters gotta get out as a group and hit em first...

I'm absolutely 100% positively sure that I know that I most likely almost assuredly could make it up to VT some weekend for a good ride and a BBQ... COUNT ME THE FAWK IN

I've heard all the same things. Locals I talk to tell me they ride weekdays and do night runs sometimes... during the weekends, they head off to their own 'secret' roads elsewhere.

I have spent over 2 of the last 4 weeks involving 2 different trips to the Dragon and surrounding areas.

Nothing but awesome roads and good times.

Don't judge so harshly upon what you read but rather on your experiences in person.

Things are just fine down there and I encourage everyone to go.
