    I would think with that much geometry change it would affect the handling...

    At what point does an elongated swingarm become counterproductive. The farther back that tire, the less weight on it. I know this dumb ass pillar crane monstrosity is all about form, not function, but it brings up the point of extending too far reduces traction.

    Actually, in this case the form does follow function. Lengthening the wheelbase like that slows down the 'drift' action of the bike when you light the rear wheel up, making it much easier to do the controlled donuts and drifts he was demonstrating.
