So my windscreen is yellowed and blotchy. It's been on a long time without any preventative care and around the track I really couldn't see going down the straights so it needs to get taken care of. If pictures are necessary I can get them. Any tips?
what brand is it? I haven't seen any quality windscreen yellow before. not really sure about the blotchyness, if they are little spots that's brake fluid that weeps out of the reservoir at speed. buying a new one is the only cure for that really.
LRRS Am #331
Graphic Tailor / Woodcraft / Armour Bodies / Suomy / Cycle Performance Autobody / Shorai / ChickenHawk Racing
Buy a new one, you could try a headlight refinishing kit but the discoloration is probably throughout.
Have to know what it is. Some are made of aircraft grade [impact resistant] acrylic, some of Polycarbonate, and a few of Butyrate.
No way to polish PC, for example. And some of the windshields have coatings to boot.

it's the OEM windscreen. It sounds like I should probably just get a new one haha
Is it for the '93 CBR that you have listed in your profile?
If so then yes, nearly 2 decades of exposure to the elements can do that.
I would go with an MRA screen. You can pick one up from twisted throttle for about a $100.
If you buy an OEM one from Honda, expect to pay twice as much.
Personally, I'd take this an opportunity to get an aftermarket double bubble.
If polishing is even possible, you'll spend $30 in supplies and 2 hours of your time...and it still won't be as good as new, which can be had for around $70.
Wouldn't Zero Gravity or other after market manufactures have one for this bike? It wouldn't be more than an OEM one.
haha ok, I guess it may be about timei've been eyeing the ZG Double Bubble that Lou mentioned for a couple years now
