I did a bad, bad thing today...

And by bad, I mean wet my pants...left a deposit on my new bitch, '08 Triumph Daytona 675 Special Edition. Going to have to give it a proper break-in at a track day very soon:

My year long break from riding was too long...

Hope not...don't feel like wearing my shirt unbuttoned to my stomach and sunglasses in the nightclub!

When I had my VFR, I used to think, "if I were to buy a sport bike, it would be the Daytona 675."

I think she's pretty. I want to hop on top of her, grab a hold of her pigtails, and ride her hard. May even give her a little kiss after.

Those are the Euro trash-holes of the 80's. Todays Euro trash-holes are the ones with the popped collars that wear their sunglasses 24/7 inside and out....Or are those just douche bags? Uh whatever, same difference.

The 675 is on my list of awesome bikes. Some day I might pick up a used one, I wouldn't buy one new just because I couldn't imagine spending over $9K on a bike that wasn't a Ducati

Have you thought about what you are going to do to it? If it were me I would at least put a slip on because the 675 is one of those few bikes that you know what it is just by the sound and I would want to make that sound even louder.

Ah, you're right. Those are just douchebags. Last year's Halloween costume was "Douchebag." I had TWO popped collars, baseball hat slightly cocked, bluetooth earpiece, seashell necklace, wristband, shirt tucked only into the front, and a nametag that read "douchebag."

I was going to buy used..there's an '06 in MA with 1700 miles I could have picked up for under 7K. But I figured the depreciation after a couple years wouldn't have been that big a difference between the two, and I kind of liked getting a 2-yr factory warranty...after all, it is British...oh, and I loved the look of the SE when I saw it in person...the logical side of me can't justify an extra $400+ for different colored wheels & decals, but when does that side make decisions when it comes to motorcycles?

Right now, just getting a gel seat, heli bars, and probably a fender eliminator. The pipe will come later...I have 2 condos in different buildings, and both homes need new roofs. And going on vacation next month...yea...this was a financially intelligent decision!!!

Oh and the SE is sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet!
I might get it in a year or two and get the SE.
Being a Euro-Trash hole isn't that bad, its means you have to think your better than everyone else, especially people who ride gsxr's

Re: I did a bad, bad thing today...

one of my coworkes just bought a 675, not the special edition though but all black.

I've sat on it a couple of times and I have to say the riding position is much more aggressive than my gixxer. The seat is a lot narrower and it is super high.

However, it sounds mean, even with the stock exhaust and its got so much more torque in the low RPMS than my gixxer its not even funny.

he loves his and I'm sure you will yours.

    nice bike.
