Ok, so I haven't hadda bike for two and a half years, or whatever the fuck..
When I renewed my license a couple of years ago, I know I paid the extra 12 bucks to have my "M" moved to the renewal. But it didn't happen that way after all. Somewhere along the way, after a duplicate or whatever the fuck, I lost my "M". So now I'm stuck in this netherworld where I got this hot lick bike in the garage and can't legally ride. No "M". If I getta learner's after passing the written (which I passed with 100% of over 200 questions in practice on their site), I get to ride the bike with no passengers IF I have another adult, licensed to ride, on another bike, WITH ME along for the ride. Now who the FUCK is gonna do that? Everyone my age here has three kids, three mortgages, three credit cards, and three divorces and three women to keep happy (a wife and two chix). Disasters come in threes, right? And, none of em are hooligans with bikes! They're pussies! No bikes!
You kidding me? After I have my learner's, I have to WAIT 30 days before I can take the "skills" test, a run back and forth in an oval behind DMV with some orange cones. THEN I can be restored to my full license. After 28 years and around 120 or 30 thousand miles riding on two or three different bikes, with a Bandito 1200 waiting in the garage like a beautiful naked women in the bedroom (which is another stimulatin' thing I don't get to ride), I got no convictions, accidents or pregnancies to any of my passengers in all that time and all those miles and I STILL gotta go back to kindergarten.
So, since I wanna ride the bike up to N.E.S.R. territorry in a couple of weeks, I gotta take a beginner's course at George Mason taught by a commercial company. Ex and Ninja 250's and Honda 250 cruisers. Somehow, everything is ok if I pay these peeps $349.00 and sit through class for three days, (1 day class, 2 days' range time on the "bikes"). THEN I can have my "M" back.
Fer the record, I'll cooperate, I'll play team member, I'll help those of lesser competence if asked, gonna smile and answer back, "Yessir, yessir, three bags full", and I'm gonna play the game and present a proper attitude.
But ya know what? Fuck Virginia. Ya know how many crablegs we could eat for $$349.00 on opening day, Buffalo @ N.E.? With Brady back? Well, fuck Va. Hope they choke on it.
And that's all I have to say about that..![]()
That sucks man, well take the course, have a few beers after it, and go with the flow, watcha going to do now yah know?

Do they have any Experienced Rider Courses with the license waiver in VA? That would be cheaper, only last a day, get your license and give you a chance for a little skill practice (hey, we all benefit from a little practice occasionally) on your own bike. Just an idea.
