Reducing wind noise when filming on-board

What do you guys do to reduce wind noise when filming on-board rides? I just got my camera mount and plan on trying it out at Americade this week. I know a few people on here have made some pretty nice vids, what did you use?

Tuck it inside the fairing - there's probably a dead zone in there to sheild the mike from the wind noise.

I don't really have much choice of where the camera sits. The mount bolts to the gas tank where the filler cap is. I was trying to think of something to tape over the mic that would still allow most of the sound, just not the wind.

Get an external microphone for it.

    automatic level reduction
    -or-
    a foam cover over mic
    -or-
External mic that can be placed closer to engine so
engine is a larger percentage of the total sound.

the microphone on my CVS camcorder is recessed into the case...to cut down on wind I just put a piece of tape over the grill/hole for the microphone

Tape should work fine for your situation (the blue, painter's kind). It easily gets rid of the wind element, and the sounds you WANT to catch are still definitely loud enough to get picked up through the tape.
