Well first off, I left this morning to go to the registry to finally put the bike on the road and got there a HALF HOUR early (assuming I'd be the first in line) .. that was not the case. haha .. There was already a line wrapped around the building of people waiting to get in ! So I finally get in the place and my number gets called .. right before handing over the old title I take a quick peak at it and under where the odometer reading is supposed to be I put 85,000 MILES! (instead of 8,500) Duhhh!! hahaaa .. so needless to say I will not be cruising around on my new ride until the girl I baught it from is back from vacation and I can go to the bank or what not to get some form notorized with the correct mileage .. I don't know if posts like there are "legal" on nesr but I needed to vent and thought everyone might get a laugh out of this :O)
who cares what the title says for mileage?, explain to the person you eventually pass it on to what happened, and vroom vroom.
ps, i checked the 100,000 box before too. according to my title, my lc4 has 104,000 miles on it. that stuff is confusing on the back, and deliberately hard to read, i swear.

+3 on getting it done right.
Registry actually messed up the title from my 04 600RR when I paid it off to sell it and took another 3 weeks to get the title re-issued. thank god it was easy for them to figure out it was their mistake too.
the lady tried to blame it on me that when I submitted it i wrote down the wrong number.
no way dickheads, i had that shit all photocopied and showed them the paperwork and she change the sound of her tune lickaty split and re-issued one with the correct mileage.
Yeah it's a total government job. I know I never wrote down that my GS500 weighs 4870 pounds, but the title says it does...
I'd be more worried if they added a zero to the mileage...
Disagree.
My RC51 has 124,000 miles on it according to the DMV.
An educated buyer knows more than just to look at the title and odometer for signs of mileage anyway.

when you get a title sign your name and date and thats IT! Let the RMV fill out any confusing shit.

I simpahize about state registration problems. You interested in a spare windshield for that 09 ninja? will let it go cheap as don't have 250 anymore was a bubble up zero gravity shield bought aftermarket and I put the oem back on when sold.

I agree You should get it right the first time with the RMV. You never know but it could come back to haunt you later and the registry is notorious for laying blame on the comsumer. It took me 4 years to correct a typo they made on my license at renewal and I needed a notorized letter to correct it. They just plain suck at correcting things after the fact so don`t chance it.
I'm a month since I handed over my Va. title free and clear to draw Ma. tag for my bike and still no Ma. title. It was free and clear too. What's with these peeps? Also, no registration card? They don't do that up here?
