    first ride since the high side....

    Went for my first ride today since my get off at Monticello in June that left my collar bone broken and ankle f'd up... i had surgery 3 weeks ago to put a plate in to bridge my collar bone and decided today was the day... first ride was from my house to my shop, about 5 miles. was a bit spooked at first i have to admit. Every time i touched the front brake i got a feeling in my stomach. a flash back to feeling a dead brake lever at 100mph..... but Boy it felt GREAT!!!! fast forward a few hours.....so after working for a while i decided it was time to try it again.. called up Cory and we went on a 35 or so mile jaunt.. found my ankle hurt every time i tried to get off the bike in a left turn but as we went, it got better. all in all it was so refreshing to get back on the bike... i Can't WAIT for BOMO on Sept 29th

    Congratulations! I've put everything away for the season already but am hoping to battle those demons starting in the spring again. It amazes me just how much they get into our heads...

    I've always felt its best to get back on the bike as soon as possible after a crash. Granted this was as soon as you could have but the faster you get back on the faster you'll get over it.

    glad things are healing finally and you can start riding again. LAPS is the day before BoMo, you should do both
