Is it because I'm ugly? It's because I'm ugly, isn't it?
You fucked up 8 years ago. You should have bought a gixxah 1000 or 'busa or something. But no, you took the responsible, reasonable route and bought an SV. Now you have a fantastic motorcycle and the next will undoubtedly be a complete let down, regardless of what it is.
That said.. has the Street Triple been openly suggested?
Maybe we could work out a trade it ride.
I have a Street Triple and I'd like to try an R1 and a KTM 690 Enduro / SMC.
Also wouldn't mind a spin on a Tiger 800 or Tiger 1050 or a Multistrada.
i'd be willing to let you ride my 2010 daytona 675 (non R). As they say you brake you buy lol but other then than that that's fine with me.

Kind of surprised the Rc51 isn't in the list since the tl1000r is.
Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul.
Current: 690E. Past: FE250, S1000XR, S1000R, Streefighter S, Monster S2R1000, RC51
how big's your backyard?
dirrrrrrtbiiiiiiiiikes!!!!
your daughter's 4? she's ready
This. As someone 5' 6" the Speed 3/4 is going to feel massive, I'm 5' 11" and they feel like an ocean liner to me. I ride an 06 sv on the track and on 09 street r on the street. Both are narrow, and just flick. The Triumph has a lot more power but it also has the ability to lug around doing 20mph in 6th gear with out a hickup. Once you've put some miles on a naked is nothing to worry about. I have 30,000 miles with no fly screen or windshield, about once a month over the summer I'll have a 500 mile day with out issue.
Parts are pretty easy to come by being it shares most with the Daytona and insurance is a lot cheaper than any super sport. I bought mine new in 09, I have no plans of it leaving.. Ever.
You are to cool for a VSTROM but the 1K truly does it all well
The new Yamaha triple should be on your list... cool and relatively cheap
The calculus of hate
It is not that I should win it is that you should lose
It is not that I succeed it is that you fail
It is not that I should live it is that you should die
The FZ-09? I am going to have a hard time turning this down if Yamaha ever offers 0% or similar...

Yeah, that one looks damned nice on paper.
yeah, that's not the issue. I'll repeat - if I don't like how it looks, I won't buy it. I don't like naked bikes. Never have. Streetfighter-style is a different story. I think my 30K+ miles have allowed me the freedom to be a bit picky(yeah i know that isn't a lot by some standards)
I also like the new Yamaha triple....very intriguing, but most likely out of budget.

As far as Speed Four feeling like an ocean liner:
I'm 5'9 and it feels just as flickable, whether backing it out of the garage or going twice the speed limit, as an SV. (My) riding impression comparison between the street triple and speed four was that, chassis/handling wise, they feel much more similar than different...especially when the moto-style aftermarket bars are on the S4.
Speed Four: 375 pounds, 31.9" seat height
SV650S: 376 pounds, 31.5" seat height
Street Triple: 370 pounds, 31.5" seat height
Ocean liner?
The street triple IS narrower due to one less cylinder. The speed four width is similar to any other 600, if not narrower due to less bodywork. If comfort is any concern, would you rather ride on a motard seat or gold wing seat?
LOL just ride it...I may bring it to Rice-a-Rama and/or the next LRRS event if you really want to try it and distance is a problem.

sounds fairly comparable, though being wider may make it a bit tall for me. I would love to take it for a quick spin, and I will be at the next LRRS event, so that works well. I don't get off track til after Legends racing and I am at work before most of those schmo's wake up, so bear that in mind....
