The forum layout is kinda cluttered as it is.

While I respect your thoughtfulness, I really don't see the value. Indeed, most rides cross state lines and have attendees from multiple states. Simple enough to post with enough info in the subject line to figure it out...

(It's a 'penny for your thoughts' but you have to 'put your two cents in'. Someones makin' a penny....)

I'd say it's not a terrible idea, but there would have to be a fifth forum for multi-state rides, as DucDave mentioned.

Either that, or add a feature to the new thread tools that let you select the state you're starting in. Or just get everyone to add the state to their ride title "Eastern MA: Ride blah blah"

As previously stated by Stoneman, this poll means absolutely nothing and has no bearing on the final decision. I, for one, think subforums are stupid. But I also think Vermont is stupid. I'm not sure where I am going with this. I'm just exploring the space that was given to me. Good luck on your quest though.

I think it should be mandatory for everyone to include their 2 letter state abbreviation in their screen name like this young lady. That will clear up any and all confusions.
