I want to make a route on grouprider and get it to my gps. Is there an easy way to transfer the data?

What kind of GPS do you have?
Garmin's Mapsource can import the GPX format from grouprider with no issue.
Not sure about the other map packages.
gpsbabel.org does a good job converting almost all formats.
I'm not sure sure if you want to create a route and then post it on grouprider or download an existing route from grouprider and then transfer it to your GPS.
If you have a Garmin, Mapsource will let you do either task. It's not what I'd call an intuitive piece of software, but you can get the job done.
Most routes are posted in .gpx format, which is an XML format for geo and temporal data. You can also use Google Earth and www.gpsvisualizer.com to look at and translate file formats.
