rear brake pads
They are fucking FINE, probably 1/8" of material.
I just put on new tires and new front pads for inspection. I checked the rear, and theres plenty of material on it so I purposefully didnt change it.
40 mile round trip in a cold drizzle for NOTHING.
First due comes out , young guy, does: horn blinkers, brakes
and says "ok, $15 please"
LIKE IT SHOULD BE.
Then some older dude comes out and starts looking reallllll close at shit.
Then he said, "Oh, there, your rear brake, we cant pass it"
Like the douche was LOOKING for something to fail me for.
I looked and said "ITS FINE, you dont even use your rear brake"
He insisted he wouldnt pass it, so I came back to work.

What shop?
wow, ya where was this??
that happened to me last year (rear brakes as well) they give you a rejected receipt that lets you ride on it for 20 days. then in that 20 days you swing back by that same dealer and the check to make sure you fixed the issue and give you a sticker... i have one now because one of my tail lights didnt work when i went there the other day to do mine. im riding back by today, but i have the rejected receipt in case I get pulled over.

Thats funny, all I have ever had to do was honk the horn, hit the brakes and get my sticker.
wow, never heard that one before. The place I go to checked my headlight, blinkers, and brake light. Nothing else. Sounds like the guy was looking for a reason to fail you. Try another shop.
Here's an idea.............spend the 30 buck and replace the fuckin brake pads.

Couldn't get ahold of Brockton Cycle, so I went to the next closest place, Limas Auto repair in Attleboro.
Thought everytyhing was 100% so I wasn't worried.
Like I said, the first guy came out and passed me, but then an old guy came out pretty much on a mission. Maybe he hates sportbikes or something. i dont know.
I'm sure a lot of people would be interested
in knowing what shop this is to avoid it in the future.![]()
I wanna say the inspection rules require 33% or 50% left if I remember correctly.
Honestly, I think the old guy just didnt like sportbikes, he came out after I already passed with the attitude of finding soemthing to fail me on.
At least he didnt take my money, he gave it back. He tried mto send me to some other place but I never found it.
o well thats pretty cool he didn't take your money...he's not a total douche pile...can't complain about that I guess.
I agree, the whole thing was odd. First guy tore through it and passed me and took my reg and money, then some old guy comes out of nowhere.
if you can see the wear lines then it should pass.
When I start my KTM in the morning, rules are broken. Its inevitable...
