First things first, whatever you do, do not take your test in Lawrence. They take you behind the registry to the loading dock area that is all uneven pavement, cement pads, tar snakes and pot holes. Did I mention it was raining so the pothole were filled with puddles. Loose gravel everywhere. So when he came out I was already doing circles so he had me do a few figure 8s in an area that I wouldn't ride a peddle bike in. I kept putting my foot down and told him he was nuts and to move me over to the other area where it was actually ridable. He did, I did a figure 8, he had me drive a hundred feet, upshift, turn around, ride back to him using hand signals and stop. PASS, I got my license.

That ended with an arrest in Ringe for me, I guess 88 in a 50 was asking for it. The cop was cool about it, he had our bikes towed to the MA border, processed us at the police station, and then brought us to our bikes and let us ride home in the dark. I can't believe you made it 7 years.
