Visor Up or Visor Down?
I usually ride with the Visor up, less of a pita than trying to wipe down the visor every two seconds...
Cheers,
Chris
But when we ride very fast motorcycles, we ride with immaculate sanity. We might abuse a substance here and there, but only when it's right. The final measure of any rider's skill is the inverse ratio of his preferred Traveling Speed to the number of bad scars on his body. It is that simple: If you ride fast and crash, you are a bad rider. If you go slow and crash, you are a bad rider. And if you are a bad rider, you should not ride motorcycles.
visor down... visor treated / cleaned w/ Plexxus or Honda Polish will bead up water easily. travelling @ speeds of about 35 mph or higher, just turn head briefly to the side & the windstream will flick them li'l beads of water right off!
crawling along @ less than that, I use a thumb squeegee thingy I got from the Aerostich catalog... or, if I'm wearing my First Gear gloves, the one built into the left index finger...![]()

For me it' all depends on the "speed" and type of rain...
I do however find myself with visor UP most of the time (mostly due to figgy issue's too).....
But I HAVE hit some rain that the best way through was visor down and get a lil speed going so the rain will "roll off"

"hey Randy, do a wheelie!!"
i dont ride in the rain.![]()
"fuckit!"
I ride with visor down, with it up, rain gets on inside of my visor and I have to stop take my helmet off and remove the shield to wipe it dry. my prescription eyeglasses also get wet. unless I am going real slow...
if I do get fogged up, then I kinda have to open it up.

forgot to mention... HyperOptik insert from FogCity pretty much eliminates fogging...
...as well as the need for sunglasses when it's bright out.![]()

Sweet, good to know! The reason I usually ride with visor up is that at low speeds (most local roads) I have to constantly wipe the visor down, and if I am not wiping the visor down, I am peering through the fogging... as a result i keep it up all the time in the rain... But, if i could eliminate the fogging, at higher speeds I could keep the visor down...Originally posted by bemused

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
I'm told the regular FogCity insert is the ballz, too-- and cheaper-- but I couldn't pass up the opportunity to leave the sunglasses home, too.Originally posted by hohum
