Close your eyes, look deep in your soul, step outside yourself and let your mind go.
Meh, lack of an ultra is just time me thinks (but I still can't comprehend the product line).
When they introduce a fixed upper competitor to the GL I'll be interested in giving a test drive.

Like it. What is amazing is that in the 80's, the dealers couldn't give these things away. Never been the cheapest model either. Now, they are the hot bike. Who would've thought?
Same stuff, different years.
You guys see that 100hp Indian just released for $10k? Now that is something different!

I'm on the fence about the styling. The vent in the fairing doesn't really do it for me on this or the new Street Glide. The RoadGlide in general though is such a sweet ride though, only issue is they retain their value on the used market like crazy, even compared to other HD models. If buying new, this is a good thing but if shopping for one a couple years old it sucks
That looks like a 1980s robot face.

I rented a 2013 Road Glide Ultra out in California for 3 days and I loved it. Although it was a california bike so the 103 was a bit of a disapointment..
Last summer I went out and bought a used Dyna with the 103 that already had power commander and pipes and the thing had good power. Actually, I was really surprised at how quick it was! (for a harley). I was disapointed to find out 2014 their would be no Road Glide but the dealer assured me that usually means a re-design. One of the things I really wished they hadn't changed was the looks of the front. Although not drastically different than the old, I do like the looks of the old better. But maybe it will grow on me by the time I'm much older and decide to buy a full bagger. I don't tend to travel with much, I rode my R1 across the country with only a back pack once so a Road Glide would be a little over kill. Right now my Dyna with side saddles (leather) is wayy more storage than I will need lol.
you should shitcan that power commander and get a HD super tuner. i cant tell you how many of those we see fail.

Why is it that the supertuner is superior to the PowerCommander? What causes the PC to fail?
unknown. maybe the vibration. ive seen one fail on Qs 675 at a TD too. its an electronic part...they fail.
our biggest thing with any of the piggyback tuners (power commander, fuel pak, zippers etc) is that stay plugged in in line with the ECM and change what the ECM wants to do. some even have you eliminate the o2 sensors and just lie to the ECM and tell it everything is running great. the HD ST is more like a key that lets us unlock the ECM and change the map. it also has a smart tune program which is like an auto tune. you plug it into the bike and then ride it. it gathers all the data from the boat load of sensors on the bike and creates a custom map. afterwards we download that map into the ECM and then unplug the ST and throw it in the saddlebag.
another thing thats good about it is that any HD dealer in the world can work with it if they ever need to remap. not everyone works with PC or others (like us), if you come in with a running condition and you have a PC, generally the first thing we do is unplug it, that is if it still has the o2 sensors hooked up.
again, this is just my opinion based on what i see roll through my shop

no, nothing like that. ive used a PC in my SV1k with no issues. they tend to work well on sportbikes and the such. idk if HDs just eat them or what. ive got a few customers that have never had an issue with them and theyve been on there for many years.
theres also limited places to mount the PC (or others) on an HD so they either end up in a spot that can get wet or someplace really hot. you can usually find a good spot away from the elements and heat on a sportbike
