Yes, I just read a review in one of my latest rags. Interesting that it is a triple! Now, if the big 4 (or 5, or 6) would just follow suit and produce quality small bore multi's, I would be very happy.

    True ... if you don't count two-strokes.

I was just looking at it in my motorcyclist mag. It also mentioned a fully faired version is on the way as well.

and for the price, I'd seriously think about picking one up after my duc's paid off.

I don't think so, by a long shot. Well, maybe the ATV part. Your money would be better spent on a good used Bandit 400.

I think the price in MC said it was going to be around $3,500 or so. don't quote me on it though.

If/when they make it here I'll find a place with one to take for a test ride. I've dealt with the Chinese Baja stuff and they aren't as terrible as everyone thinks and ordering parts from their website isn't any worse then dealing with Apirilias from Italy. I see this as more of a sr500 type of bike then a banditish one even though its not a single.

I am not thrilled that this is a Chinese machine, even though the engine designer is Australian (I think), but if the build quality and reliabilty is good enough, it will be a viable option for many.
The price was significantly lower than that of a Ninja 250 (said in the magazine).
    I just like triples.

It would have to closer to 1500 than 3500 to take a chance on. Take a look at that tiny swing arm and cheesy tin exhaust system.

Rather have a used EX500. Speaking of which... When the fuck are they going to update that pile of horse crap?

I sell alot of wood products that are designed in the US, made from North American Hardwood, and Assembled in China. They do not hold a candle to anything Assembled in the US or Canada. There is little quality consistancy from container to container from China, but it's half the price so people buy it.

I know the Chinese can make quality product but when they do it usually ends up being pretty close in price to other products.

Regardless of where they come from the components on that bike do not look like anything I would trust with my life at 60mph, or expect to last much longer than one season.

They're not. There's no 2010 model. Kawasaki was waiting for new sales of the EX500 to completely diminish before they axed it in favor of the EX650 (which really was initially designed as a replacement for the 500, but they were afraid off cutting off a cult classic too soon).

Someone needs to put their 450 motocross engine in a GP quality chasis.
