I know many people that have gotten well over 7K miles out of a set of Avons even on powerful and heavy bikes like the 12R and busa.
Brian swears by the avon fronts because they're so soft they really grab traction for his stoppies.

I have been getting 10,000-13,000 miles from Azaro STs on my Sv, compared to 7500± on the older AV35 & AV36 or similar milage on the MeZ4s that came stock on the Sv
