I'm on my second set. I love them. Great feel and long life. I'll never use another EBC pad.
Does Vesrah have multiple compounds? I'm looking for a replacement set of pads for the SV and I've heard good things, I just want to see what they cost.
For my 9R thay had organic (what I use) and sintered. The organics cost me $52, total. The last pair lasted about 20,000 miles. The package they come in says: "perfect initial bite" and it's no lie. They don't seem to need any break in period either, they grab well from the first stop.
In comparison, EBC organic pads, at $60 per set, only lasted me 7000 miles, had awful feel, and took many break in miles to finally offer decent grab.
The only downside with the Vesrahs is occasional brake noise.

The EBC HH pads are the way to go...screw the organic. You can get the HH pads shipped for $62. I had them on my gixxer 750 and they bed in fast and they bite, hard. I liked them so much, I have a set waiting for my 1000 and a set of Spiegler lines. The Versah sintered pads are around $150-190 depending on the bike. Ouch. EBC it is.
As for noise, the HH pads will howl if you leave the metal spacer whatever it is that is on the stock pads, off.
If you left that off with the Versahs, that might be the problem.
Check this out. Vesrah

Don't the HH pads eat up the rotors faster than organic pads? I intend to ride the bike for 100,000 or more miles and have no desire to replace the rotors. I find the stopping power excellent no matter what pads I have, I'm more interested in saving money, but if long lasting and inexpensive pads also have great feel, well, that's a big plus.
Sintered metal pads will "chirp" when applied.
That's normal, no worries.

I just started running them on my race bike this year. VERY progressive! You squeeze more to get more ... I like them alot!

Sounds like you may need to lube the slider pin(s) more, or put some anti-squeal compound on the back of the pad.
Buhump.
Where do you guys source these pads? I know a guy who is looking for pads for a 690 SMC. Does Vesrah have pads for that application?

Not sure they have anything for the SMC, but I'd call. Something likely cross references.
bought them from kurvey girl and stg before. just ordered a set from s&c even though they were a little more expensive. they put me over the minimum for free shipping so the extra few bucks wasn't a big deal. Miles has been supporting everyone at NHMS forever so I feel good tossing him an order on occasion.
