....i happened on to this documentary kind of show a while back..."the long way round"...i havent seen the whole series,but did see parts of their trip in Mongolia and parts of Russia....they were on BMW adventuer bikes.....from what i could tell the bikes were getting a hell of a beating...anyway..i wondered if any of you guys had caught it on the tube.....O...the premise of the show was them riding from europe to mongolia thru russia, then thru parts of alaska and the yukon down to montana and back to NYC.......................

It's an awesome series! Ewan McGregor & Charley Boorman basically take a trip arond the world on BMW adventure tourers, with another biker shooting film and chase cars at some points a few hundred miles back. Really interesting how they make it in the middle of NOWHERE, bikes breaking down, beautiful scenery, etc... it's really a good show... I think the DVD was just released a week or so ago with all 7 episodes.

I watched the series... it was a well done piece... I was hoping for a bit more riding.

It gave me new respect for Ewan McGregor.
