YIKES....
....slow down and be cautious if you cant see whats in front of you...??? Not sure how it looked to him at speed but there was clearly a lot of dust that hindered his visability...and it didn't look to me like he had started braking until he saw the bike AFTER he got through the cloud...
I don't know...if all looks different from where the camera was. Luck bastard, anyway!

I'm not one to armchair quarterback, but braking was pointless... no way he could have stopped in time... looked like he accelerated through that blind dust cloud and panicked when he saw the bike. He may have had time to swerve, but who the hell am I to say. That was brutal.
Its easy to say, slow down when you see dust, but its also racing. I know motorcycle racing isnt quite like nascar, but those guys dont slow down despite 14 cars spinning in front of them. And especially when money's and championship is at stake, they cant just slow down for everything. For all he knew the bike was off the track and thats where the dust came from. Logically, if a bike stayed in the track, there wouldnt be that much dust, so he may've just thought the bike went off the track. Either way, no matter what he did he was screwed, just lucky it wasnt that bad.
Ouch.
Loft the front wheel, wheelie right over it!
That reminds me of the lessons that i learned while watching Days of Thunder.
Wow. His body bounced a good 1 -2 feet after the first impact. Damn.
Talk about a body slam! That fookin hurt! At the speeds theyre going, from the time he saw the dust obscurring his sight to the impact, was just seconds...time to avoid? Not sure. Cracked pelvis...he'll be feeling that one loooong after his racing days are over!
typically when a bike crashes, it goes to the outside of the turn.... If I were him & the track was obscured w/ dust like that I'd be thinkin to myself "Keep it pinned, the bike's in the dirt".
.... and I woulda been wrong, too![]()
