Apparently the new Nortons are in production and orders are being taken in the UK, they'll be taking orders in the US next year as they build up their dealer network.

It's an interesting machine, kind of a cross between a Ducati SportClassic and a new Triumph Bonneville. Will be very curious as to where US pricing will end up. Also very curious about the reliability of that engine.
The guy running Norton has all kinds of crazy plans and deep pockets, they're reworking the rotary engined model from the 80's and they're also planning to build a 500cc racing single.

That new Cafe Racer model is mutha fukkin sexy, though I'd probably ditch the fly screen.
Big bucks though... we'll see what happens. I hope they do well, I'd like to see one in person.

I want one... but I'm really curious to see what they do with the 500cc single. A modern street-legal Manx Norton would have me lined up at the dealership ready to put my deposit down.

And Suzuki is not importing any bikes next year?
Some dissonance here?

If loud pipes save lives, imagine what learning to ride would do.
That's amazing news about Suzuki. Do hope the Norton guy has enough cash to ride out the recession, this is probably not the best time to release a new expensive motorcycle.
