about 2:30pm I was riding back to NH from my college reunion at Paul Smith's
stopped at lookout at peak of Rt 17 a few minutes, then headed down the Waitsfield side, a few turns down from the top, a gal on a cruiser low sided into a guardrail, didn't appear to be any serious injury or damage
a few more turns down flares in the road, ambulance, rider lying on ground on far side of guardrail, gixxer I think lying on side, on other side a busa that looked trashed too
further down mountain, more rescue heading up the hill

I'll check and see if there is anything in the paper today.....
I was there on Saturday the 9th and was really surprised by the number of local and state cops I passed on the way from Richmond -> App Gap.
The same State Police cruiser passed me later on and I found him waiting at the top of the gap in that parking lot that heads to the radar tower. A very sneaky location.
Keep your heads up.
Reason #28 why I milk it thru there on my way to Tracey road................

I seen the one on 104 sunday, when I was leaving Laconia.. Did not look very good..
it's a 5 hour ride for me (4 if I take some highway) doesn't give me a chance to do much exploring for a day ride, I usually make a loop, lincoln pond road & tracy road or ensign pond road and tracy road.
this was a 2 day ride with a few festivities on between so I got to explore sunday morning before the ride back to NH
I hit Essex county Rt 18 (River road in ST. Armand) that goes thru franklin falls, then dumps out on Whiteface mountain road from the backside just above North Pole, road is not in quite as good condition as tracy road, and has more vertical climb/fall, if it gets a repavement, it will be as nice a road as tracy road
I was going to explore Essex County Rt 12 from Upper Jay to Stowerville, looks good on my maps, but I suspect it may not be paved 100%, not a problem for me, but not a road my GF wanted to ride her sporty on
I managed about 700 miles for the weekend
