SCAM?

Replied to a craigslist add yesterday for a 00 gsxr750 for $3k and recieved this response. Sounds a little fishy to me.

Hi,
the bike is in great condition, it has been properly maintained, never been dropped or abused in any way. It has clear title and the price I'm selling it for is $2980, which is including all the shipping charges.
I live in boston (boston/camb/brook) but currently I am with work in UK, London for the next approximately 7 months. Anyway, there shouldn`t be any problem, because I`m using Paysafe-Craigslist services so I can sell the bike without difficulty.
I left the bike at their warehouse before leaving to the UK. They will take care of the delivery. There`s a 14-day return policy so you will have the chance to test, inspect and ride it before final decision.
So if you want to purchase it, drop me a line and I will explain you how Paysafe-Craigslist works and how we can move forward.

I had a race bike for sale on lrrs and same thing he wanted the bike and was sending me 9500 for a 4500 bike and the difference was to cover shipping and taxes to canada,i knew it was a scam but played along he sent me a fleet bank cashiers check in a plain envelope no note inside no return add but the check looked real so i called the bank and gave them the #s and wouldnt you know it was a fake! total bs but entertaining i think i still have the check somewhere.

HAHA, funny you mention this. I went for an auction just like this a while back to see what the guy had to say. It was a Lancer Evo for $14k with like 5k miles on it. The guy was in Greece for a few months so i told him that I'd go meet him and arrange for the car to get back here on my own... never heard back from the guy
