Ok, so I just reinstalled my stock rear shock. However, I took pics before pulling it off the bike. What I noticed when putting it back on was that the lower linkage was not originally installed the same way as what the picture in the service manual looked like. So, thinking that the manual is correct, I put it back on the bike with the linkage configured the way the manual shows it. However, in doing so the bike was extremely low in the rear. I then checked the ride height adjuster and noticed that it was on the lowest setting. After cranking it up to the highest setting the bike sits higher in the rear but I am not sure if it is as high as it was before.
My question is, can you guys take a quick peak at your rear shock lower linkage and let me know if it looks like the before picture of my shock or the picture from the service manual. I attached both pics, mine is obviously the color photo.
Thanks in advance.
Ben
I believe according to my 900rr the arrow on the links should be up top and facing forward?
Another words spin the links 180 degree's, I'm sure someone hear will confirm.

It looks like you have the right side one on the left....flip it and then have the letters facing up...
your picture is from the right side of the bike horizontal, the service manueal is from the left side
and the fr with the arrow means front.

It's all water under the bridge, and we do enter the next round-robin. Am I wrong?
yea, you can even see where the top is dirty that is the bottom of the other side.....
Ok so both plates on either side have the arrow stamp on them. I have them currently configured per the manual with the arrow on the top side of the triangle and pointing down and to the front of the bike. I also have the ride height at the highest setting. The bike seems really low, but that could just be a perspective thing on my end because I was used to it being higher since the linkage was incorrectly assembled. I will take a look again tonight. If I have more questions I will post up. Thanks for your help!
the arrows should be pointing towards the front of the bike. you have the triangles on backwards resulting in a suspension drop. and there is no ride height adjuster on the 929. if you're talking about the ramp/stepped collar on the shock that's the preload adjustment.
