Doug, go to the AMA website and check on Allied. They do not require a crate and have very good rates.

Check out shipcar.com.
I have never done business with them and don't know anyone who has but I hear them advertised on local radio stations.
Here's a quote from their "Why Choose Us" link:
We ship Motorcycles to and from anywhere in the United States and Internationally, American Auto has been in business since 1980. We have shipped motorcycles from the beginning. Although we ship many automobiles, motorcycles are a specialty we have experience with. And unlike automobiles are shipped in specialty designed enclosed motorcycle transporters.
Good Luck.
A lot of poeple have used Forward Air
I havn't used them myself, but I remember that they offer crating, and it was pretty cheap to ship.
