Some shots from LRRS Round 7

Naturally these are team focused however there are a lot of shots here.

I am far too lazy to do any photoprocessing on these so you get what you get :-p
A lot of these pictures were taken by Drew so THANK YOU!!

The entire album (~200 pics) can be found here however here are some highlights.

This one should make Pang happy :-p

Unfortunate crash in 1A makes for a great picture

Rick looking for a way past Pete

Roland about to get a surprise visitor

Young Jake Vader gettin' it done!

Kevin stalking his way through traffic. Started last, finished first. Amazing!

The boys all decided to wear the team shirts over their leathers for their final race of 2011, AM Thunderbike. Congrats to Kevin on 1st place!

The start of AM Thunderbike was awesome. The entire team (minus me taking the pics) was crammed into T1 :-p I have the entire series in the album but this shot in particular looked cool as hell

    Now this is close racing!

cool idea, but VERY distracting. I know you're supposed to look at the track and not the rider(s) in front of you, but it was nearly impossible to not notice the bright orange shirts flapping in the wind mid corners.

    Great pictures!

This just reminds me of the line from Top Gun...

We went like this, he went like that. I said to Hollywood, "Where'd he go?" Hollywood says, "Where'd who go?"

Competitive Advantage? hahaha. Cmon no worse that the hooters leathers that (i think his name is mark?) from turn one graphics was wearing last time he rode.

Maybe all racers should have the same color leathers and helmet so people won't get distracted.

Maybe you should avoid using a bright yellow yarn when you knit me my eck sweater.

I think he was more having a problem with them flapping around. Jim gets distracted easily. Remember shiny things like chrome will distract him too.

I agree - the girl I was working with asked "Why are they all wearing orange?" I recognized the team colors immediately and told her it was probably some, last-race-of-the-season stunt. Guess I was right. Did look cool, though.

Note to self: Stop looking for a Nice SV to race next year, now i need to start scanning craigslist for a Shiny GSXR Maybe even with a chromed and extended swingarm (Who cares about not being able to make turns when you can just distract other riders and make them crash)

I am glad that most people took it in the spirit in which it was intended and I am sorry if some people found it distracting. I understand as every time I come up on Roland I cannot help but look at his belly pan moving all over the place =)

That said, it is my job to focus past these things and continue to ride well. This is no different than focusing past someone who has crashed in front of you and it is a skill that is critical to your own safety as well as the safety of those around you.

We thought nothing more than "Hey it would be really cool for our last race if...".

I see it as no different than CRs at a track day. typically its red or neon yellow that's flapping around as they ride. Even if one of them is in front of you helping you, you shouldn't be staring directly at them.

I gotta stay visible out there on that little bike, and since you haven't run me over yet, my flapping parts technique must work!

It was distracting to me because I wasn't expecting to see 4-5 bikes around me wearing shirts over their leathers.

Once they blended in traffic, it was fine. Like Brett said, CR's wear them at track days. If you're expecting to see a CR shirt, then it's not as distracting.
