They have the prices listed on the site. I can't even guess what they MAY offer for a discount IF we could get a group buy together. I haven't talked to anyone yet, just getting a feel for it for now...

Sounds good..let us know what ya find out
Miss - I think the ones you see at sears are more for big cruisers and atv's.I don't think those work with sport bikes. Plus I don't think they lift the bike that high.

I've seen the Craftsman ones (Sears) in use. No offense to legalspeed (he has one), but I wouldn't use one if I had to. Didn't seem all too stable for my tastes...

Miss Twistie,
I think that the main reason that these types of lift (the Sears type) don't work well for sport bikes is that they lift the bike from below. Most sport bikes have either fairing pieces that would need to be removed, or more importantly exhaust headers that run below the motor. I don't know about you but I wouldn't want to lift a 400+ lb bike by pushing on exhaust tubes. That could get expensive in a hurry and doens't strike me as being very stable.
Most cruisers, atv's and dirt bikes have perimeter frames which cradle the motor and provide a nice level surface on the bottom to lift from.
Somebody correct me if I'm wrong but that's my understanding of the situation.

The problem as Stoneman said they are not stable for sport bike. The frame rests on a little plat form allowing the wheels to dangle...with sportbikes there is nothing really for it to sit directly on. This big cruisers and atv's have tube frames that work well with those kinds on jacks.Originally posted by MissTwisties

If all you need is to change a tire, I would get a couple of track stands...like pit bulls or something.
00SprintRS,
The stand that this thread is about cradles the bike by the exaust and says that there is nothing at all to worry about when doing this. They claim it to be an industry standard lifting and suspension point. I don't think I like the idea of supporting my bike by the headers.
Just to be clear here, the stand I linked the original post to is the one *I'M* talking about...
Check the website out! They have multiple lift methods for those...

I have the craftsman one , and have found it to be very stabil. Useful to say the least, I did a frame swap and an engine swap using it alone, without any help. It can't be that bad.![]()

None the less. I'm looking to get feedback on the 'Qwik Lift' systems, and the possibility of me soliciting some kinda group purchase deal with 'em...
What's your take on the Qwik Lift?
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?

Ok, here's the deal
the basic unit is $499.95
accessory wheel lilft adaptor $70
accessory superbike adaptor $70
accessory harley adaptor $70
list cost $709.95
all these accessories will come with the unit. that is the way they are packaged
prolly around $400 ea.
you can pick up a bike with double tube frame with no accessories

When I first saw the lift Randu showed me I was a bit weary..
Since I havent seen it in person I have to take Randy's word on the stability on the lift....I picture it being a bit tippy![]()
When comparing this lift to a reg. "table type lift" I find pro's and cons to each..... I really wish the "Eazy-Rizer" had some sort of platform to put tools etc. on....I have found table lifts (for bikes) that are around $700 new Vs. $500 for this new product![]()

Exhaust Collector Pipes.
Lifting a bike via the engine sump or the chassis frame requires no clarification here, but one of the most frequent questions posed to our technical department by SuperBike owners is:
"Are you sure my collector pipes can support my machine?"
The answer is always the same,
" YES "
Although on many occasions you may elect to lift the front of your bike from the sump or the chassis, the question "can I lift via my collector pipes?" is perfectly understandable - but the simple fact is that supporting SuperBikes from the front collector pipes is an Industry Standard Procedure and is used throughout the industry by manufacturers, the retail & maintenance trade and competition departments across the world. This is borne out by the fact that we only get asked this question by private owners, because the trade are familiar with this technique.
Sounds pretty good to me..![]()
