Cleaned her up (both street and track skins), did some general maintenance (oil and filter, chain adjust and clean and lube, etc), and got her ready for the track. Mounted up the camera and laptimer as well.
Now I just need some riding skills and some red numbers.
Decided to ride down the block and take a few photos in the track skins by the lake... they didn't come out too great because the sun was fading, but they're alright:
Here's an older one in street trim:

Thanks dudes
As for what I can do on it... don't get your hopes up...I suck.
I picked up an XT ultralap... got it used for the price of a minilap.
for now I've just jury-rigged it with some velcro... the infared eye is just mounted on the plastics with velcro below the handlebar and the main unit I think I'll either velcro to the triple tree or on the top of the ram air tube in the stay right below the gauges; I'm not to concerned since it will just be temporary since I'm going to machine or have machined (I think tricky mike's going to help me out) a little mounting block that attaches to the upper hole in the fairing stay where the headlight used to attach, so it WILL be like this:
I'll use this hole to mount it:

Looks hot as hell man. When do I get my demo ride?
Do you dive, by any chance? Those red/white stripes reminds me of the divers symbol (which I have on my rear window of my car)
That bike looks sexy as hell!

Thanks guys... I figure I might as well enjoy it while it looks good... probably isn't going to last very long next season:
Hmm maybe I will try that.
When you get to a track day and stop being a pansy
Yep yamaha 'speedblocks'... just like King Kenny himself, just minus the 'speed' part in my case
...but I know the diving logo you're talking about my uncle used to have those on his truck he was really into SCUBA diving.
Yeah I got your PM, hopefully we can figure something out.
You gonna be there practicing? I think you already did a race weekend right?
Yeah I was thinking I would put it on the top triple until I got my little bracket machined. We'll see, I'll figure something out.
You doing the 29th or 30th? I'll let you take it for a rip.. and I'll try out your new tarddon't think I should try it in blue though... maybe I can drop down for a session? dunno if that's allowed...
Yep Robbie Nigl does awesome work... he did the paint (color, painted white plates, pinstripe around the plates)... I applied the red/white stripes myself though... took a long time to do it carefully.
Takes me about an hour and a half or so?
I could do it in much less time... but I take my time, don't want to fuck up the street stuff cuz it's all mint.
I usually give everything (both street and track) a once-over with honda polish as I'm doing it, it's a good time to do it and it's easy because I just hold the fairings in my lap as I clean them.
You should see how I torqued your mom's box last night
