I also plan on pickin up a new Arai soon... I tried a few on at the Expo this weekend (Some vendors had good deals goin on).
But they they only had one small

.... I really like the fact that Arai uses a different shell on the small sizes which make it much much light and tons more comfortable then the XS HJC I bought last yaer...

I picked up the Hayden rep. for $375 at the show from the Nault's Honda-Ducati booth. I wasn't even really looking for a lid, Healdman45 went over to the salesman and asked what kind of deals they were giving for the expo...before he said anything I was like "I saw the rx7 on ebay last night, new and in the box, for $360." He said he could do 375 and I was like, "WTF mate!"

Hey Squid, don't know if saw the post further up, but do not buy a tinted shield for it...save the $ 60.00

By the way, what model Arai did you end up with? Quantum F is my guess...

Wait, wait!! What's this spoiler and eye seal crap you speak of?? Is this stuff unique to your Arai? Can i get it for other helmets? I wear rgp lenses and i have an agv right now, and when i ride, air blows in from the bottom and my eyes start watering like crazy. this has been the bane of my riding existence. If you can tell me how to solve this problem, i will be forever grateful.

Hey elaineo,

The chin spoiler is pretty much unique to Arai, it pulls down from under the chin. Even comes with a sticker inside that says "Push spoiler up into chinbar before putting helmet on!"...LOL. But the "eye seal crap" is pretty much a breath deflector...see the pics...

Some people collect baseball cards...I collected helmets, LOL !

My first was the Quantum/E Raptor (Size S : Blue one with the bird-beak)

Then I got the Quantum/F Okada (Size M :Blue dragon) when it first came out in 2000

THEN I picked up the Quantum/F Haga (Size M :Funky flames)

The Haga is my favorite though. I've been dying to get THAT one for years! Finally got it off E-Bay for a WHOPPING $ 125.00 BRAND NEW !!!

I'd be willing to sell either of the others...Raptor would be the cheapest because it's the oldest. BOTH are pretty much in mint shape and SMELL LIKE NEW !!!
Just make sure you get "sized" first ! A loose helmet is unsafe and NOISY...A small helmet will make you think you are giving BIRTH from your forehead !!!

i'm serious though. i almost couldnt get a medical certificate cuz of my eyes. oh damn, i hope i don't end up following in YOUR footsteps. that would suck

i'm probably a bit worse than you; glasses don't do a thing for me and i can't quite get 20/20 even with contacts. i don't have a doctor in Boston; i only hafta get my eyes checked every 6 months so i come back to LA to the Doheny Eye Institute to do that. my Dr. here is supposed to be like crazy good or something. thanks for the referral though, i'll look em up... it's good to have someone nearby if i ever have an eye emergency, like if i stab my eyeball with a fork or something.

do you have these crazy scleral lenses that they talk about?

But with the vision I had (20/150) at age 18 (now 20/200, but 20/20 with THIN-ASS lenses!!), and the fact I didn't want to go to college

, my fighter pilot career went into the toilet. (No pun intended elaineo

) I did go into the USAF though, and did the next best thing...I guarded them ! 435th Security Police Squadron, Germany...LOL !!!
