In 2005 I got a ticket simular to yours, 86 in a 55 or 50, I can't remember. The officer thought he was doing me a favor by reducing the speed to 80 so that I didn't get the ticket that makes you have to appear. Back in 05 before the laws changed, that ticket was $86 bucks. He said "I suggest you pay it or you'll have to pay court costs on top of it" and so on.
The sucky part is, I was doing 86 according to him, the guy in front of my was going 76 and the guy behind 74. I got the ticket, no one else. If I was going 86, I'da been sitting on the bike of the guy in front of me before we both slid up the road.
friggin idiot.
I couldn't get them to come to court with me and tell the judge "I was speeding too and didn't get a ticket"
ah well. 86$ is / was cheap.
