Mabey the PO PO was gay and that is why he called his buddy, he couldn't stand to look a giel in short shorts
Maybe I am not paying attention but I have never noticed much as far a gear goes that an officer wears... I seem to only see them in short sleeve uniforms.. Maybe I am wrong though.
Plus, how do you know he didnt check radar? Its not like you cant have radar running on a police bike, have it give the speed of an oncoming vehicle, and turn around to pursue it...
Exactly, he has a gun and a pen. He wins.
Do not fight with cops at the time of an incident, explain your side if you have one and be on your merry way. They have the advantage in the field, like it or not. You have the advantage in court. This teenage angst shit went out with plaid in the 90's.

I can resist everything but Pete's mom.
You can still stick up for your girl without giving the cop attitude. Being polite and respectful even if the cop is a dick has helped many people get out of trouble. Live and learn though. There will always be a next time to try things differently.
I would NEVER let my gf on the bike without at the very least jeans, shoes and a jacket of some sort. The rear seat doesn't go back on until shes wearing all of the above and a helmet.

Your passenger's life is in your hands. I come to a COMPLETE stop at every railroad crossing.

You have to 'notify' whomever your talking to that you are recording the incident, much like I **believe** a cop is supposed to inform you he/she has a recorder on you. Similar law to recording phone calls without notifying the caller. I have no problem advising any individual i'm recording the interaction
you can notify but dont i have to consent to it?
"fuckit!"
Wasn't there just a lengthy thread about how to handle a traffic stop to minimize the chances of a citation?
Same kid, same passenger, same cop, same violations, one thing changes...
Kid pulls over, removes helmet and has license and registration ready for the officer. He hands the officer his paper and starts with, "I'm really sorry officer..."
bet it goes differently.
I grew up in Dorchester when the BPD had a TPF (tactical patrol force) that was basically given carte blanche to keep the wiseass kids under control with the business end of a nightstick. I was taught at a very young age to extend every courtesy to the police, even if it is not reciprocated.
The vast majority of officer's respond in kind and for those who don't, it would only have been worse.
Getting mouthy with a cop is the dictionary definition of "no win situation."
