That first pic reminds me a ton of my old VT500 Ascot..
Harley in the AMA? How quickly you all forget. I used to like seeing these rip around Loudon.

I think it looks cool.

badass looking i think, most testers agree its the best handling harly ever. its a nice little package but as with all harlys if it does get sold stateside it will be way over priced.
KillBill...web search the harley VR 1000. they did run a water cooled twin in AMA superbike, as you see duhamel on one in the above post. Was a pretty cool bike I thought. They broke a lot though.
As for the new sportster that won't make it to the USA.....bleh. pipes are nearly dragging, looks like it'll go left easier than right.
And GixxerJockey would still spank it and put it to shame with a Bergman scooter![]()
Thanks SLyder - checking it out now![]()
It's too bad the VR didn't amount to crap. Apparently they even had engineers from both Porsche and Ford doing something with the engine. Then for homologation rules they had to make X number available to the public, I guess they were all sold before they were built. I heard they were all sold over seas..not sure if that is accurate or not. Think the price tag was 50g's
The v-rod has a de-tuned, VR 1000 based engine in it. Well, detuned and then fancied up to appeal to the chrome lovers.
I do remember seeing a VR 1k come out of 12 at NHMS and power wheelie down the entire front stretch...I imagine it had some nut...when it ran![]()
Thrown back to the old KR/XR bikes.
