Just Got done with some dirty riding On a T TR 230 track was mostly loose...read golfball to football sized rocks disbursed with nice sections of muddy wet grass... on the golf ball stuff The front end washed frequently And was honestly downright unsafe... i had 20 PSI in the front and 20 in the Rear so the question is did I have too much up front... Or is this just a really tough track
Wow, I've been running 12 to 14 psi normally. 20 sounds way high. What tires are you using?
I believe you just answered my question but, Yes the tires are cheap, Brand Nu on the front one season on the rear... Both are Shenko's (sp?)
12-14
The older I get the Faster I wuz
Thanks For chiming in... I knew I had it fucked & up I will try lower pressures from here on in...
I agree with everyone, your air pressure is way to high. 12-14 seems to be the average, I run about 10PSI rear and 12PSI front around my place. I've read several psost on dirtbike forums where guys run as low as 8psi with heavy duty tubes and 2 rim locks, with good results.
For what it's worth, you'll never have a planted feeling riding on lose rocks. Proper tire pressure and proper suspension set up should help
Yamaha
12-12. You can go lower with a trials tire.
