I'm starting to put some miles on my gear, and I'm noticing scratches and chips accumulating fairly quickly in my visor on my Shoei.
I've got some 3 step Novus plastic polish stuff which I've used to polish plexi glass with before, and wondering if this would work/be ok to use on the visor? I'd hate for it to somehow chemically damage the visor, like weaken it, or start clouding the plastic.
I dont notice the dings so much when riding, but I know eventually they'll accumulate enough to where it will annoy me.
Worth a shot on a new helmet/visor, or maybe test it out later on down the road when the visors pretty much ready to go anyways?
visors even well taken care of are usually good for one long riding season before they are too scratched to see through, I am sure there are exceptions to this, but if you ride a lot, plan to replace the visor each season.
