seriously bugs suck.
is there any thing i can do to avoid getting hit with what feels like a 7 pound moth.
i was thinking of the "whistle" things that they put on cars to scare the bugs way.
any body think that would work?
i ride at night and every time i have to wash my jacket, my bike, and my hat after i get back form just a quick 20 min ride.
it pisses me off.

that might be a good idea, my headlights might melt it tho.
i had the 55-watt HIDS
hahahahaha man my bike and helmet get filled with them daily.... its a pain when they get on the face shield on my helmet. i always end up smooshing them onto it and makes it interesting to see through
my bike and jacket are white so bug splats show up easily
heres a trick it found... when one hits your screen wait a minute to "flick" it off.. by then its dry and comes off without smearing.. though it doesnt work as well if your bombarded..

wax everything, no clue what to do with the jacket.
its the screen on my hat that bothers me the most, i can only go ~5 miles before i have to stop and clean it.
i did wax the stuff, it makes it a little better.
i need like bug rainX
Don't wear a helmet and a jacket. 2 less things you have to wash.

lol, nah, those whistles don't work with crap. I had friends put them on their trucks for the same reason and I always got a good laugh out of that. Bugs suck but that's pretty much life.
Partially off topic reminder: All those flying pests that you clean so often from your helmet visor and windscreen also get sucked into your engine's air box. If you are having repeated bad bug days it might be time to take a look at the air filter and make sure your motor isn't sharing your bad bug day and starving for O2.
Just install a giant bug zapper on the front of your bike. Make sure to ride a lot at night to enjoy the light show of bugs getting electrocuted.

The best is when you can see them at night zeroing in on your lights, sometimes if I react quick enough I can duck them!

A little tip:
Bugs come out the heaviest right around sunset and stay out until 15 min to 1/2 hour after sunset. If you are getting hammered around that time, just find somewhere to pull over for a little bit.
