I just picked up a 2002 ZX6 that was crashed and left almost none of the front end street stuff or plastics. I was going to restore to stock but thought a fighter would be more fun. Have some parts on the way and will post pics when I get a chance as well as progress. So yes, this thread is basically worthless at the moment.

i may do that, need to get a headlight, right now it looks like ass because i have the stock front faring on and no side fairings lol i need to hide some wiring and get a headlight and i will be pretty much done, eventually i want to modify an 08 1000rr rear end to fit, i think that would look sweat!!

That sounds awesome. I am waiting for a headlight I ordered to get here so I can fit the front end. Gonna cut down a 600RR upper as a mask. Sshould keep the wires hidden nicely. Then its mostly paint, powder coat and anodizing for various bits. ALso have a bit of tuning up to do since its been sitting for some time.

Still need to do a lot of work, here's the major stuff:
Swap rear suspension with 04 gsxr stuff
Possibly swap the engine with another 600cc engine that I know the history of
Get subframe (600rr) cut and welded so it'll fit the SRAD frame
Wiring, brakes, etc.
Wet sand and clear the tank and tail

Made some progress on my build thought Id share. Had a 600RR upper and thought Id run with it. Got the headlight and integrated signal mirrors. Also been trying to sort it out mechanically, mostly rough running in the higher revs. First pick is where I started, second is how it sits now, third pic is a general idea of where its going.

Nice! I would like to black out the frame, motor and swing arm, but cant bring myself to do a full tear down at the end of April. Maybe a good winter project.

I have to buy a house so I can keep the bike in my own basement this time though

Mine's all done... for now. Tank, Tail, and headlight are all temporary.
