Things that suck....

1) Running with your tire pressure too low, sliding in turn 3 and riding out the gravel pit and the grass filled with bolders....

2) Losing your confidence and taking the better part of the day to get back to feeling comfortable on the track...

3) Dropping off your passenger and his bike in Boston just before your own bike falls on the trailer and you have nobody but yourself to pick it up on the highway at 10:30pm....

Things I learned...

1) Getting yourself back out there and conquering your fears right away really works...

2) When you reduce the trailer weight by 50%, recheck your tiedowns..

3) A girl 1/3 the weight of a motorcycle can lift a bike alone when excessive amounts of adrenaline flow...even when the bike is on a trailer where there is no footing or leverage and when the tires are no longer aligned with the rails...ugggg

4) That I do infact have people that would have come to my rescue at the drop of a hat had I really needed them.....(I feel loved!)

5) Certain men at the racetrack can and will say anything.

2.) But you found a good side from it, so this post was a worthy read.

3.) Picking up a motorcycle is sucky. Did you sit on the seat, and pick it up backwards? I think there's a website dedicated to this.

4.) I've never been to a track, but I figure: men at tracks will only say things to females; not anyone else. Maybe to food. Or another bike. Or maybe all three.

So you had a busy evening !
Sucks to about the gravel trap.
I took an excursion through the
same one last track day in July.
I just missed the tire wall and
headed up the hill just in time.

I was surprised how fast it gets you
stopped... I was dropping gravel
for days after... amazingly it didnt
scratch my plastic too bad.
You get much damage?

sorry to hear about your string of bad luck but at least you managed to put a positive spin on it.

it's good that you got right back out after the t3 mishap and i can totally relate about the confidence thing (at least you got your's back)

Thanks for the kinds words. I did infact have an eventful day, however, I still had a blast. Every bit of it revolved around what I love...motorcycles. How bad can it be?

I had a rough morning on the track, just couldn't get my head into it, I tend to think alot of that had to do with my children being present and I was distracted as well as concerned for making a mistake that the children would witness. After Tony giving me a bit of a kick in the butt, I came out of it and I had a great afternoon of riding again.

As for the bike falling, well, that was a shortlived crisis but when its done, I feel GREAT about the fact that I can get myself out of a situation on my own. Something not so great happened, but, when I got home with every bit of my body aching, in the end,...I did it! (and I didn't need no stinkin' man!! ) In some strange way, it was just another accomplishment.
