Re: Suggestion on new suit
I'm still waiting on gloves I ordered in January from Todd with a suit. Paid full price for everything and got no discounts. Just got my suit two weeks ago. I was told my gloves were going to ship two weeks ago as well. And then Last week.. Still no gloves or response from emailing heroic over and over and over again. Lack of communication and broken promises are apparently a big thing with heroic. And I know heroic is not an option for you now, I figured id put my two cents in. Alpine stars off the rack is your best bet haha good luck

True story. Driving back to NY and I'll check status

I bought an A* and like it way better..
Same thing happened to me at vanson last year. I will be talking with them next week. total sadness on my end.
Re: Suggestion on new suit
I ve had a bunch & by far I like my Spidi track wind pro the best. I just bought a second one. They are $1400 retail & can get you a good price on one or anyother suite you may want but these suites are comfy & hold up better to a crash then any suite have have had.

Re: Suggestion on new suit
Since everyone is posting hate towards other companies I'm gonna take a dig at spidi.
I'd recommend against anything spidi, I had the soles of the xpd xp7 boots fall off after a few weekends of use. Customer service was non existent. Never got any responses after contacting them several different ways from emails, phone numbers, Facebook, etc. At least they were never rude or dishonest to me BECAUSE THEY IGNORED EVERY SINGLE CONTACT I MADE WITH THEM.
Stuff going wrong with a product is fine, shit happens. Just don't expect any support whatsoever. Sucks too because they are nice boots as far as everything else goes if you ignore all the jb weld holding the soles on.

Re: Suggestion on new suit
Spidi gloves are terrible as well. I hear good things about their suits.

Re: Suggestion on new suit
I've had nothing but good experiences w/ Vanson. Ordered my suit the fielder week of Oct 2012 and it was ready 6 weeks later, 2 weeks earlier than they told me.
As for Heroic, I have a set of the SP-R gloves and they're awesome. But they're off the rack, so no waiting.
Re: Suggestion on new suit
Justin I'll be calling you this week
Re: Suggestion on new suit
Snowman I actually had your OTR size in stock size 56. BUTTT sold all 3 remaining this weekend. Big suits are becoming most popular sell. I've got 56, 58's and 60's ready in 3 weeks.

you and your jb weld. should have taken them to a cobbler and had them attach the sole properly. couldn't be that much. I had a guy do my boots and he had to remove the old soles, $55
Re: Suggestion on new suit
I should never have to take a pair of relatively new boots to a cobbler.
That said...
If you ever resort to JB Weld... I'm extremely sorry. JB Weld has of only masked a problem for a few minutes for me. YMMV.

Re: Suggestion on new suit
I would also like to send a big F U to my orthodontist for tightening my braces and making them hurt like a m'fer. Also to my pediatrician for not being able to clear my acne which has somehow spread to the asscheeks and made it painful to sit down on top of my worsening fireball hemorrhoids which developed as a result of wiping my ass too hard using the sandpaper they call TP at the middleschool where some douche named Peter Goatee Gaborio picks on me
Wait.,what is this thread about again?

that's why you save your pennies and over the winter you spend the $1600 on a custom Pilot and get exactly what you want made special just for you. ;)

Point was, deals are out there you just need to hunt are around.
Re: Suggestion on new suit
I bought a Syed custom suit when I first started racing. It's served me very well.
I think going with a custom suit was one of the best decisions I've made for riding/racing. It allows me to move on the bike the way I do and be comfortable. There wasn't a place around where I could try on a rack suit and I wasn't excited about dealing with returning and reordering suits that I wasn't happy with. That having been said, Todd (Heroic) had me take one of his suits out for a session and it fit like a glove and felt like it was 1/3 the weight of my Syed.

As much as I like your stuff, you don't sell a dual-zipper suit, which I like a whole lot better. Plus, I like metal zippers. I had a bad experience with a plastic zipper on a suit.
