Havent started the bike for awhile, put a crap load of parts on it this weekend, went to start..... nothing, Discounted the ignition mod i put in, back to stock still nothing, Doesnt wanna turn at all.. turn key, pump turns on, wont turn over,.......... hooked to charger, connected between fuse relay and got bike started, thats the only way it would start up. wanted to keep working but just ran out of daylight, any ideas what it is?? thanks
Sounds like a Bad battery...I have a spare thats always fully charged just to check.
I would either borrow a good one or replace.....
also was the bike on a battery tender at all if not DEF battery...
What MOD where you doing a TRE or PC???
This is Why...........just enuff to fire up but not enuff for the whole system to really work 100% so Bad Battery.

Do you have a power Commander?
If so Check how its hooked up. For some Reason I think the red wire goes to Negitive for some reason. Dollar bill Would know

Stupid me i didnt try to start it before i installed everything....
power commander was already in from last year. put in ignition module which i dont have the cd for so i am borrowing that from a buddy. figured that was it. so i disconnected and put back to stock..nothing still.
Got it running thru another method, bike was running rough, odometer kept flashing/throwing rpm tach up as if it was starting. You know what i mean, when u start bike the tach goes up and back.

check your ground... You may not have had a good ground after installing the Ignition Module, since adding a couple extra ring terminals (PC, IM) to a regular battery machine screw makes it hard to reach the captured nut (unless you lift it up with a flathead while you're threading in the screw). It's possible you didn't tighten the hot/ground wires back up tight.
Assuming you checked this thoroughly, you say the fuel pump was priming? So... not the TOS. Was this a previously salvaged bike? If so, it's common to have scored wires in the main tach/headlight portion of the harness from front end impacts (plugs into main harness just behind the neck & has the clear rubber boot around it).
If those don't pan out, I can take a picture of the 2 wires you need to jump to put your bike in dealer mode... may give you a code.
but yea, as mentioned above... it would be a good idea to test it with another battery (you must have a friend with a GSXR nearby).
battery hookups were tight as it could get.........was a salvage bike, never had an issue with it before. my buddy checked that connection( clear rubber boot) i didnt look personally. Kitt could you shoot me that picture, just in case...bike is still in RI so i am running out of options/time before first weekend.
well if you want to bring it to my place next weekend (I have good friday off) we'll get it sorted for you.
The connection wasn't my concern... wires with insulation cut around the neck was... One of my bikes had this issue.
I have spare TOS's, Spare Batteries, Dynojet software, Spare GSXR's haha... we could find your problem in no time.
Cant really at all during the week, i work 2nd shift. Sunday would be best for me. I can finish my trailer up and get it all loaded and head your way Sunday morning.
Doesnt make a difference to me but it is Easter sunday dont know if got some family stuff going on.
figured i would ask, i will just bring it by a place Leo suggested in dracut
