    Re: SV 650S pricing??

i think 2500 would be a little optimistic, though if you have a buyer who really needs to cash or something like that, particularly w/ the lousy economy and the weather cooling off, it could definitely be doable.

i'd say 3200 for a quick deal, if you want to work it, 2800, and 2500 if you're willing to jerry mcguire the guy...

ding in blue fuel tank is $ 805.88 deduction just for the part + labor to swap it out

upper in blue is $ 367.99 + labor

subtract those numbers from high retail it gets you below $3k before you even add labor

    I stick with my $2500

This is the proper deductions for the situation... But I would be very surprised if the owner let it go for $2500.

What is the selling asking for the bike?

They were asking $3300, lowered it to $3100 last night.

    Oh, ok. good information...

    I back with Randy.

Shoot them the $2500 that Randy suggested and go from there. If they've already lowered the price, it means no one even called at $3300.

    Re: SV 650S pricing??

I watch the SV650 market pretty close, I think $2500 would be a great deal for this bike, but I doubt it will go that low. It's just too new, this would make a similar Gen 1 $1500?

I think it would be well bought for $3100. It's absurd to deduct the full price of a new tank swap for the little dent.

Given the time of year it's a buyers market, so maybe you could get it for less than $3000.

    .
it would be absurd if it were deducted from low retail, for high retail everything has to be perfect. subtract body repairs instead of new parts from low retail, you still come up with $2500

I'm sure you follow SVpricing as best you can, even so, NADA follows pricing better

Randy is absolutely correct... That's the way it is done. Perfect condition value, minus full replacement value for damaged parts, equals the actual value. That is precisely how we evaluate trad-ins.

Is it just me or does that ding look to be about where the handle bar would end up if the bike were dropped?

If that's the case, then the steering stop is broken off of the lower tripple...

Are you talking about the last pic? This one?

I don't think there any way the clip-on could hit the tank that far back.
