So here I am walking into the bike shop figuring I'd bust some balls with the salesmen....I speak up, and say.."So Where's the SV1k???"
One of the salesmen pipes up, "It's BEHIND you!"
I turn around, and there it is.....I'm in friggen LOVE! I swing my leg over it, and slosh it between my legs...This bike feels so light!
Has a nice reach to the bars, and seat doesn't feel too bad.
The front looks like an angry wasp with the dual headlights.
The lines are beautiful, only thing that has to go is that rear "put on there because we have stupid DOT rules fender" I think that maybe the first thing that gets rearranged.
There are plans for OZ rims, and a Yosh system when available, as well as a PCIII.
We were gonna roll it outta there, but the origin papers haven't come yet...GO FIGURE!
Well, a couple more days, and it'll be safe and sound in my Brother's garage I assume...Now I hafta figure out a way to get it away from him to take it for a BLAST!
Stay tuned for further updates I'm sure....

i'm still jealous.

Just wondering but is the TL1000R faster than the Sv1000 ?
the dyno pull looks to be of the restricted Euro model...100 hp is to be the max...
The states version produces 115 hp to the rear wheel.
Top speed of the SV1000 is 157 mph, which is very close to the top speed of the TLR

That Dyno can't be right. The TLS put out more beef than that and this thing is supposed to be a big improvement. Can't wait to see the bike Mark, your brother must have a boner right about now.

New project........FORKS! The bike runs like a bull I have the Crankcase breather, float vents, and airbox done too. Just waiting on the last 2 intake ports that are designed for the FCR's. But I got some 9r Progressive racing springs and they are 30mm longer than the stockers so I am trying to figure out what to do without the manual for these things. I've got the forks apart but I'm stumped on my next move. I might just mail the co. and get some info. They are designed for my forks but I am hearing that the spacers may need to be resized.......cut down. They seem to be very easy but I now need a fork oil level tester.....arggghh.

The Dyno chart looks right. Very similar to that of my Superhawk.
Way to go Mark. I suppose I'll hafta get that Tuono this year to "keep up with the Joneses"![]()
Here is hoping I can squeeze out during lunchtime and go see this new toy. Looking to swap out of my Bandito..... if this bike fits right.
Only questions remains.... Silver or Orange.

Cutting the spacers is easy. Make sure you cut the square though.Originally posted by Rye

Fork oil level is easy to set with a mity vac brake bleeder, some straight, stiff 1/8" to 1/4" tubing and some closet rod. Cut 2, 1" long piece of closet rod and drill a hole through the center of each. The holes should allow the tubing to barely fit through and offer resistance against movement. Connect the hose from the mity vac to the top of the tubing. The top of the upper closet rod spacer should be the fork-oil-level distance from the bottom of the tubing. The lower closet rod spacer should be 2-3" from the bottom of the tubing. Over fill the forks with oil and insert the tubing until the top of the upper spacer is flush with the top of the forks. Suck the fork oil out with the mity vac until you can no longer suck oil. Do the same to the other fork. The lower spacer is only used to keep the tubing centered in the fork tube and may need to be trimmed in diameter to fit down in the fork.
RYE....
Did you forget where I work???
If you need the spacer to be shortened, I have several Lathes to choose from....

Stoink, I actually found out from Hyperpro that they do not require cutting of anything. I am losing you with the oil level check though. Can't really get a good visual of what your talking about.

Heres a condom. I figured since youre acting like a dick, you should dress like one too.
My brother has it, but it's part of the family...I used to let him take the Dragbike down the track for a couple of passes, so we share...He used to take the TLR out all the time...It's garaged at his house...Originally posted by beet
