Obviously motorcycle-related, but why else?

Nashua police said that a Ford Thunderbird driven by Helen Hiller, 96, of Nashua, traveled into the path of vehicles exiting Veterans Drive. Police said the Thunderbird struck two vehicles, including a motorcycle driven by James Davis, 56, of Boston.
Davis was taken to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center before being airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Police said his injuries were serious but not considered life-threatening. No one else was injured.
Police said their initial investigation shows that Hiller entered the intersection against the traffic light. Neither alcohol nor drugs appeared to have contributed to the crash.

Damn..Well, this stuff happens in Florida several times a week, bikers getting whacked, old people turning left, pulling out in front of guys from the right, daytime, night time, they just aren't aware. Highway 19 outta Tampa north to New Port Richey and beyond is 6 and eight lanes each way, with turn lanes, lots of intersections, an enormous commercial corridor and bikes are always getting hit and the riders often killed. This lady up here still running around at 96 is a surprise, though. I have an aunt up here that made a lane change without a turn signal to make the Salem Bridge and an off-duty cop reported the tag and she was called into Charles Street RMV for medical evaluation. No tickets, no moving accidents, no corrective lenses (she's backed into poles at Macy's, like that, but nothing RMV ever heard of) and she's not driving any more, they lifted her ticket, she sold her car, over and out. Age? 84. She's retired, and she used to live across the street from her restaurant (she used to own the old Yankee Restaurant and Bar on Lynn Street in Peabody). They showed her no mercy and half of that is her salty attitude. In the end, maybe she knew something, she didn't fight it. Pity someone 96 slipped through to whack a bike. Be careful out there!
