I have a friend who wants to get a Ducati. This will be his first bike so any of their current full faired bikes are a bit out of his league(performance wise) at this point. The size/power of the Monster would work for him. Problem is he'll be doing lots of highway miles and a fairing would be a big plus. Does anyone make a full fairing for the monster or is their a model that shares the same motor that's faired? I know nothing of ducatis so I could be asking a very obvious question.
Ducati made a 620 SuperSport for one year. Fully faired...monster motor! Tough to find though. Has he looked at the Monster? Several have a 'fly screen' and there are after market accesories too. I have ridden a monster with a fly screen and it doesn a pretty good job of deflecting the wind. No need for a full faired version IMHO...
Oh.. and Kermita is selling a fully or half faired 800 SS I think. That could be a good answer!
(BTW...even though some of the fully faired Ducs are larger displacement, there are still 2 valve models available and the way they put power to the ground is very friendly...)

Thats the..half faired SuperSport with the 620 motor...but should work fine

I couldn't find any photos of a fully faired Monster.
I'm really interested to see what it looks like.
A Monster by definition is a naked superbike. You won't find a monster with a fairing, but the supersport line sounds like what he is looking for. They come in all different sizes as mentioned, but look pretty much the same. Some have the full fairing and some the 1/2 fairing. They stopped making new ones in 2006.

This guy used 998 body work on his monster.

This guy used a nose fairing from an Aprilia Tuono, looks like it would cut the wind nicely.

A fully faired monster is called a Ducat ST. Seriously, the later Monsters and STs share essentially the same frame. : )
