Coming back from NJMP with Jayspeed in my truck and his bike in the back, we were stopped at 3am by an unmarked state cruiser and another marked cruiser pulled up shortly after.
Cop shines wicked bright light into my mirror from behind so i can't see a thing, then approaches from passenger side and I have license and reg ready. he says thanks and asks if I know why he stopped me. I say 'no' and he says "well, it's 3am and you're driving a truck on the backroads of East Taunton with a sportbike in the back with no license plate, you have to admit it looks a bit suspicious. What's the deal?"
So, I tell him we were at a trackday in New Jersey and we are on our way home, and thank him for being vigilant about bike thefts. Jay hands the cop the reg for the bike and the cops goes back and runs the licenses/registrations. Cop comes back couple of minutes later, hands back documents and says "Have a good night, guys"
Now, that's policework.

Thumbs up to them!
Nice, I had a good statie encounter the other day: I'm rolling to my local MX track and there's a 1/2 mile section where I have to use the road. I idle down the breakdown lane. Anyway, last week I pull out into the breakdown lane and there's a femal statie coming straight at me. She gives me a long look, I stop on the grass and nod to her. To my amazement, she rolls right on by. Thanks statie!
they can run the vin and see if it comes up stolen i believe....
If it doesnt come up as a stolen bike then its assumed ok!
