Now that I'm old, waay overweight, and limited range of motion... hard time even throwing my leg over my K-Pipe, haven't ridden my V-Strom in a couple years. fwiw, the K-Pipe is the same 33" seat height as my V-strom, just narrower.
I've started thinking about something step thru, maybe a used Burgman 650, or a new Kymco AK550 (msrp $9899, looking at prices of used Burgmans, I am getting close to the new Kymco, and I have an "in" with the dealer, or a new Burgman 400 ? (mrsp $8499)
Kymco is a twin, Burgman is a thumper, both eFI liquid cooled and ABS, 15 year old Burgman 650s are going for $5k+

Think i'd go Kymco out of those 2. Have you sat on / ridden one? seat may be lower, but that center is no Vespa flat floor, and they can be awkwardly wide to step "thru" if you mobility is limited.
And because NESR, you should get one of these:

Dude that top one is the dopest scoot I’ve seen, akra?!?

Without knowing your situation, anyway to lose some lbs and/or improve range of motion through PT or something similar?
I've always liked those BMW's that was posted above and have seem some people move quickly on them. Although, that AK550 looks badass (for a scooter)!
PT has helped some, but insurance only pays so much/year. trying too loose weight, I only weigh 5lbs more that I did a year ago, after gaining 30, my neurologist had me cut back on one of my meds, it has helped some
good reviews from AK550 owners on the Kymco Forum, a few minor issues, but I think most of em arose from dealer assembly fasteners loosening

Randy, don’t let OneCheek body shame you. You look killer in those suspenders buddy!!

no body shaming here (at least not intentionally). Just curious if there is more that could be done to enjoy the bikes he currently owns and presumably enjoys.
I'm doing a little better getting my leg over my K-Pipe, it's a little taller than it's competitors, the Grom & K125 both have 12" wheels, and the K-Pipe has 17" wheels
I was doing real good, when I was off my seizure meds, loosing weight, but then my seizures came back, I didn't ride or drive for 3 years till that was under control, and of course I gained all my weight back
fwiw, I never was epileptic, till I had Lyme, a permeant side effect, sucks

A friend has both a Burgman 400 and an older Kymco (not sure the model) --anyway, I've ridden both, really enjoyed the Kymco, the Burgman not so much.
And don't believe everything you think.
I am now the proud owner of a 2022 Kymco AK550
all I can say, is WOW, everything is keyless. It is WIDE, still a stretch for throwing my leg over, I'm gonna hafta read the owners manual. Salesman had to get a tech to show us how to start it, open the fuel compartment, and the whale belly under the seat. I bought it at the Hampton Falls location.to be delivered to Rochester in the morning, that way Anne doesn't freak out in Rt 1 traffic when she drops me off to ride it home

I gotta get used to no clutch, You know, like the first time you drove an automatic car with no clutch and slammed the brake like a clutch, and promptly banged yer head into the windshield, well same thing here, that lever on the left side is a brake and not a clutch
power....the CVT takes care of anything it might lack, gets to 160 kph with ease, how much mor I don't know
now it's time for me to read the manual so I can figure out how to switch the gauges from metric

Sounds like we just missed you at Farmer Nate's Saturday. Nate thought we were meeting you there - that's how soon we pulled in after you left. If you stopped by our house after Nate's, we were most likely already sitting on his porch while you were on our road.
Did you grit your teeth and try to look like Clint Fuckin' Eastwood?
Or did you lisp it all hangfisted like a fuckin' flower?
A rolling stone gathers no moss!
It's 2 minutes for any capable adult.
Are you riding it up Mt. Washington next time we go???

off topic...old article but maybe kymco can get this done...and add a removable battery pack for charging....

I actually feel more comfortable at lean angles than I ever have on my V-strom, or SV650, maybe low center of gravity, maybe 50-50 f/r weight balance, maybe both
