So i originally had the stock dunlops which sucked, wore out after not even 6k miles, i now have the Michelin Pilot power 2ct's and there awesome, going around 10k on them and there just about to hit the wear bars. I have been doing alot of research and have concluded that the bridgestone bt016 or bt003 would be my best option, anyone used either and have positive or negative feedback?

I don't think you're gonna get a lotta feedback about the bridgestones though.... not all that popular compared to Pirelli & Michelin.

Actually your best bet is to come up to the track. There are 4 different tire dealers that will sell/mount/help you select tires. And you can meet some of us and have a fun day.

ManyOmani of the buell crowd I typically ride with are running dc3s. All with positive feedback. I'm a cheap prick and didn't want to spend that kind of $$, so I went with conti road attacks. So far so good (2000miles). We'll see how they hold up after Wednesday at the track.

I haven't used the bt016s yet. I did have the bt014s on my last bike and liked them better than the Pilot Powers that i just ran thru. The 014's had crazy grip, and were awesome in the rain, much better than the powers were. The 016s are also supposed to get better mileage than the 014s which is nice. They are obviously gonna grip better, but honestly you'll never use it. I had my last bike leaned over dragging my peg around 100mph on a long sweeping onramp with the 014s with no issues and that was with crappy suspension and a pogo rear shock. Don't bother with the 003s, unless your going to be living at the track they're way overkill, and will just wear out not getting used. Regardless If either tire are anything like the 014's were, I think you'll like them much better than the pilots. And they are cheap. 136 for an 016 from dennis kirk with free shipping.

Personally I just got a set of Diablo Strada's mounted and I really like them so far, I get much more feel out of them than I ever did with the powers, and even a little more than I did with the 014's, and they are supposed to last a bit longer, and were cheaper.

Let me know if you get the 016s, I'm thinking of running them when these wear out next season.

I ran a set of BT016s for track days this year. I was less than thrilled. They provided almost no feedback and got greasy if I ran back to back sessions on them. Too hot and they were all over the place. I'm pretty sure that my 70hp SV shouldn't be able to man-handle tires. But when these got overheated, the rear would easily let go going up T4, through T7 and the front really slid a few times through T2 and T9. There was no warning before they went away due to the lack of feedback. The carcase was too stiff for my likings. There were also very sensative to air pressures. When it wasn't right, I could immediately tell. Traction was gone if they were 1 or 2 lbs too high.

I ran them as to not destroy Pirelli Diablo race tires at track days... And because they were free. I won't be using them again. Even for free.

I thought BT003s were track specific, the BT003RS is a track/street, if you're running full street I dunno as that's what I'd go with?

I dunno, man.... I love riding w/ reduced traction... I had a crap ton of fun on Diablo Supercorsas in the rain one track day this year, spinning it up everywhere, pushing the front....

Take your pick, traction or wear. Boston Moto sells race tires and Diablo Corsa III. You won't get anywhere remotely like 10K out of anything we sell.

Personal opinion here, I wouldn't put anything with bridgestone written on it on my wheels.

To throw another Tire into the hat.... Ive put about 3000 miles on my Metzeler Sportec M3's.... love them so far. Thought they were getting greasy when hot but fixed suspension and pressure and tires stick good. Will be playing on the 30th with them at the BoMo TD.

The Sportec M3 is a Diablo Corsa III with a different tread pattern. Same tire. Produced by Pirelli, sold under the Metzler brand.
