High-mount Exhausts

If I keep the VTR this year, this is one 'must have' item....

I'll probably opt for the cheap way out and just get slip-ons. They're about half the price of fulls, and for me it's all about the noise anyhow. I don't care what you put on, the horsepower gains TO ME don't justify spending twice as much on a complete system....

The problem is that most every high-mount system I've seen on 'em comes up directly behind the pegs. I've seen tons of these set-ups with melted boot heels on 'em. And I ride with the balls of my feet on the pegs, so that may be a problem....

I'm not so concerned with the fact that the systems usually move the passenger pegs out a few inches. In fact, my wife favors that. And I also know that the high-mounts will work with my saddle bags...

I'm looking into the Jardine set-up, mostly 'cuz of the cost and the fact that that's what I usually see on the Superchickens. Any input?

I'm looking for noise AND I had a D&D on my last in-line (RF900R), and that puppy was LOUD!

I may just look into these 'Devils' a bit more. Thanks for the input!

BTW, Cypher-I have Two Brothers on my VTR now, and I think they suck! In fact, most people I know that have had 'em weren't entirely thrilled with 'em.

Leaks, poor finish, poor quality, etc, etc..

I'm by no means bashing your equip., rather looking for your take. I'd like to hear something positive about 'em!

I can say from experience to give the TBR's some time. The longer they've been run, the worse they seem to get....

Then again, you may be one of the lucky ones. I seriously hope you're happier than most with 'em..

Hey Cypher-Thanks for the tip on Devil Bikes!! If I keep the VTR, it looks like I'll be dumping some cake over there this winter:

Possible undertail kit....

I particularly like the exhaust. I like the fact that it doesn't come up right behing the pegs, and that it doesn't move the passenger pegs. Looks like a nice design. I haven't looked into their return policy or any guarantees. Do you know anything about that?
