Earlier on Friday when I tried to roll my bike out of the garage I noticed that the rear tire was very low, the pressure had dipped to 20psi, I put the bike on centerstand and inspected the tire for any punctures. Noticed a very small hole, barely visible that may be causing the slow leak.
In any case I will be changing my tires, what tires would you guys recommend I put my FZ6, my riding style isn't too aggressive but not too shy either. Mostly use the bike as a commuter but do take it to the twisties once in a blue moon. Safety, control and traction matter to me more than the tire longevity.
I was considering
Bridgestone BT016 Pro's (Unless there is a newer model)
Metzler Z8 Interact
Michelin Pilot Road 2/3
And where would you recommend I order from. I live in Westborough,MA.
Feel free to add what tires you guys are running.
I'm in Lancaster, i can get you tires (generally a better price then you will be able to find but not always) and install them for you. Prices are a bit high right now though, if you wanted to send me a PM when you decide on a tire i can put together a price.
Corey
I recommend any of the above as long as they come in round and black

I used Power 2ct's on my FZ6 and loved them. I'm on the end of my second set. I prefer the turn in and feeling they provide me opposed to the longevity. I replaced them around 8k miles last year and they were pretty well shot. This year I have about 7k miles and two track days on them.

Pirelli Angel ST's. I had them on my fz6 and dragged peg with them, did track days with them, etc. Plus you are supposed to be able to get great mileage with them.

I had an FZ6 before and loved Mich PR 2's. Had two sets of them and got well over 15k miles out of both sets.
+1 on the Michelin Pilot Road.
I've only run the original and the 2's but am going to go try the 3's when my OE Pirelli Skorpion Trail's wear out.

You can go through Corey for the tires unless you wanna go any further to Degsy for example I'll take a trip down with you.
Oh ya Michelin pilots get my vote too

I had Corey put on my tires, and buy them for me at a great price. I went with the battleaxe. I've never been a tire snob, just ride what comes with the bike. So far I've only put maybe 800 miles on the new tires, and they are great.

This.
I have dragged knee on my street triple no trouble what so ever. They're stick great in the rain. I'll stick with track tires for the track and sport touring tires for the road for the rest of my life after trying these out. The PR2/3s and Angel STs are really in a league of their own.

I put on some BT-023's last month for my Fz6 commuter. For the money, I couldn't find a better tire for the price that offers great grip, mileage, and wet weather performance. I have 2k miles on them, ride in the rain, and so far I've been very impressed. IMO, for the street, this is all the tire you'll ever need.
Chaparral has them for $217/shipped:

I've tried about every Sport Touring tire out there. I keep coming back to the Dunlop Roadsmart II. I love the way they turn in and especially how they wear. Even after somewhat flatspotting returning from a 3700 mile tour of Newfoundland, a few trips on local twisties has pretty well rounded them back. Great handling and wear!!!

Thank you all for the excellent recommendations, I have decided on buying
Michelin Pilot Road 3
I have the Road 3's on my 'strom now. I think I put about 6k miles + a day at NHMS on them so far and am very happy with them.
Where do you guys shop for tires? Looking for a set of Michelin PR 3's
+1 on Angel ST's. I've got about 6-7k miles on mine so far and they've still got a pretty good amount of life on them.
