Saw a girl & a guy on rte1 north yesterday... rush hour... the guy was on an older gsxr 1k, the girl was on a brand new ZX10R... doing 40mph... in the center lane... with traffic whizzing past her on either side.

As I passed her I peered through her clear shield.... I've never seen anyone look so terrified in my life.

But they had sweet Ruff Ryda vests on, so at least they were geared up.

went to a shops bbq open house. they had a bunch of members of some boston based streetbike group. all they did was rev the shit out of there bikes as the 10 or so of them left made some kid near me cry. soon as they got on the road it looked like it was gonna turn out bad.

A little off topic, but not really. I must say that it is really nice to see so many racers/sport riders here that are MSF instructors. When I was involved with the state of NH, we were definately in the minority. I'm pretty sure there was only one then current "racer" in our group {Jim Whittaker}. He raced a mean 700cc "air cooled" EX500.
He made up his own air cooled jugs so he could run the bore he wanted, but kept the head wet.
Anyhow, I know you fellas will do well to encourage the young sporting types to smarten up and take the course.

Chuckle, we certainly didn't with the old curriculum. We did have Chip Estes teach us not to drink and ride!
